The Entered Names
Lady Dyanaformer had her first foal on March 12, 2024, a colt by the sadly now deceased stallion, Paynter. I am hosting a fundraiser contest for Mareworthy to pick the name for Dyana's colt. All donations are tax deductible and will benefit Mareworthy Charities.
Each dollar donated will count as a vote for that name. The name with the most dollars raised when the contest ends at 11:45pm ET on March 31, 2024 will be named the winner of the contest. Full contest rules are available at the bottom of this page.

- Lord Paycasso
- Hoping to keep "Lord" or "Lady" in all names of the family
- Nod to Paynter as a play on Picasso
- Hopeful the "Pay" reference will result in several pay days rather than more bills to pay, but could also refer to the extremely high vet bills we've already paid.
- Analysis by ChatGPT as a racehorse name: This name combines elements of "Pay" with "Picasso," evoking a sense of creativity, playfulness, and perhaps a touch of whimsy. It suggests a horse that's dynamic, colorful, and perhaps a bit unconventional, much like the artist Pablo Picasso himself. It's a name that stands out and can capture attention.
- Lord Vitruvian
- Keeps "Lord" or "Lady" in all names of the family
- Nod to painter (and overall Renaissance man) Leonardo Da Vinci's "Vitruvian Man"
- The Vitruvian Man is considered to be the "perfect man" in respect to proportions
- Analysis by ChatGPT as a racehorse name: This name references Leonardo da Vinci's famous drawing, the Vitruvian Man, which embodies ideals of proportion, balance, and harmony. Naming a racehorse "Lord Vitruvian" conveys a sense of classical elegance, sophistication, and timeless beauty. It suggests a horse that's graceful, well-proportioned, and perhaps embodies ideals of perfection.

A little about Dyana's colt
Dyana's colt had a rough start to life after Dyana needed to be rushed to Hagyard Equine Medical hospital during labor for veterinary assistance with foaling. Upon initial presentation, the colt was coming out upside down, so Kyle and Sean quickly loaded Dyana into the trailer and headed to Hagyard (thankfully less than 15 minutes away).
Dyana and the colt remained at Hagyard overnight for observation and were released the following morning. At home the first day, the colt was bright and full of energy, but on the second morning he was very lethargic and was obviously sick. Kyle and Sean's primary veterinarian came to the farm to examine the little colt and collect a blood sample. At that time it was also evident to Dr. Erika that the colt was taking a severe downturn, and the bloodwork confirmed the little colt's health was declining.
Kyle and Sean loaded Dyana and the colt into the trailer and headed back to Hagyard where Dyana and the colt were admitted to the isolation barn for emergency care.
Lab results ultimately revealed the colt tested positive for Rotavirus Group B (ERVB) and two strains of clostridium perfringens. Rotavirus diarrhea is a very serious, life threatening disease in foals that causes profuse watery diarrhea. Clostridium perfringens is a gram-positive anaerobic spore-forming bacterium that can make baby horses and adult horses sick with stomach problems.
After 6 days in the hospital, Dyana and her colt returned to the Horse Husband Stables Farm where they are settling in well.
